Walter Eugene Mcconnell, Sr.

Walter Eugene McConnell, Sr., age 91 of Globe, Arizona passed away on Tues. September 3, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Globe. He was born in Phoenix, AZ on September 14, 1921 the son of Virgil Eugene. and Dorothy May (Anderson) McConnell. Walter was raised around Yuma, AZ, also lived in Phoenix but spent the majority of his life in Globe, AZ. He worked as Auto mechanic for Inspiration Copper Co. He enjoyed reading, fishing and going on day trips with his church and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Johnnie B. McConnell in 1978 and his daughter Sara McConnell. Walter is survived by his children; Carl McConnell, W. Eugene McConnell Jr., Virginia Justiniano (Ruben), David McConnell (Debra), Mary Myrick (Pete), Betty Jackson (Lloyd) and numerous grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thurs. September 12, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, AZ Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 A.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel.
