is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alicia Estevane Olivarez, who departed this life on October 13, 2025, in Globe, Arizona, after a long battle with illnesses surrounded by her family. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Alicia was a cherished member of her family and community, known for her nurturing spirit and gracious personality.
Alicia serving as a beloved wife to her husband, Gilbert Olivarez, and a doting mother to her sons, AJ Estevane and Michael Olivarez. She took immense pride in being a Nana to her six grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
She attended Globe High School. Throughout her career, Alicia worked in various restaurants in the Globe and Miami area, making lasting connections with those she met along the way. Alicia touched the lives of many as a good sister to her siblings and a supportive friend to all who knew her.
In Alicia's youth, she was involved with Holy Angels Youth Group with Margie Castillo. In her adult life, she was involved with Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church helping with the adult classes, Catechism, and Christmas Program with Father Jay. She found joy and fulfillment in activities such as coaching volleyball and softball for Holy Angels Catholic Church for four years.
Alicia interests included archery shoots, where she notably placed 3rd in the Red McLaughlin Archery Shoot during her first participation. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her Partners in crime, Marcelino and Nikky Olivarez. Her other hobbies included crafting, and writing. Her culinary skills were exceptional, and she will be remembered for her delicious meals shared with family and friends.
Alicia was preceded in death by her father, Albert Estevane, Sr., her mother, Alicia Estevane, her second father, Mike Ceballos, and her brother, Ricardo Estevane. Along with her brother-in-law, Mario Olivarez and Ralph Tarango. Sister-in-laws, Barbara Garcia and Irene Estrella.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Olivarez; her sons, AJ Estevane and Michael Olivarez; her sisters, Debra (Francis) Casey, Nonie (Tommy) Herrera, Helen Morales, Teresa (Victor) Nieto, Diane (Frank) Alvarado, and Irma Estevane; her brothers, Albert Estevane and Javier Estevane; her six grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The community is invited to pay their respects and celebrate Alicia's life during the following services at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, located at 844 Sullivan Street, Miami, AZ 85539. Visitation will be held on October 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM, followed by a Rosary from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and a Mass to honor her life from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Alicia's memory will be cherished forever, living on in the hearts of her family and friends as a true example of compassion, resilience, and love.
