Alvaro Rivera, 36, passed on May 12, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Alvaro is survived by his mother, Kirina (Eddie) Granillo; father, Alvaro (Rosario) Rivera;
children, Vincent Rivera and Lewis Granillo; siblings, Raymond Nunez, Carmen Gomez, Eddie
Granillo Jr., Brianna Granillo, Julian Rivera and Antonio Rivera; maternal grandmother, Carmen
Nunez-Estrada, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Alvaro had a high school education, was employed as a cook and loved reading, watching
history shows, being outdoors, computer surfing, taking apart electrical devices to see how they
worked, and listening to music. He was very intelligent and could talk about evolution and
philosophy to gardening and motorcycle repair. Alvaro was also respectful, caring and
kindhearted. He loved his sons and his family dearly.

Services for Alvaro Rivera will be held on Saturday, May 27, at Infant Jesus of Prague, 501 W.
Victoria Circle in Kearny. Viewing will be at 9 a.m., Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m.

His family has been assisted by Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
