ANNE ALIPRANDINI

Our beloved mother, Ann Aliprandini, passed away on June 1st, 2025, at the age of 91. Ann was born on September 3rd, 1933, to Rudolph and Ann Manci in Iron River, Michigan. She spent most of her childhood in nearby Florence, Wisconsin, before heading off to Marquette University in Milwaukee, where she studied dental hygiene. In 1954, she married the love of her life, Charles (Bud) Aliprandini, and they moved to Claypool, Arizona, where they had all sorts of adventures together, including riding horses, becoming licensed pilots, and running The Shamrock, a popular family bar. Ann also worked for fifty years as a dental hygienist for several of the area’s dentists.

Bud and Ann’s greatest adventure by far, however, was raising their seven children! Ann brought boundless enthusiasm, energy, and love into the home. Every occasion was special when she had her family around the table for lively conversation and her fine-cooked Italian meals. She was large in character and taught her children kindness, compassion, and a life of the spirit. Her guidance will always be cherished.

Ann had many lifelong passions. She loved to exercise and could often be spotted on her bicycle running errands and going to daily mass. She also loved hiking, running, swimming, and paddling her favorite red canoe. After she and Bud retired, they split their time between Globe, Arizona, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where she helped build two houses on Stager Lake. Her other passions included sewing, baking (her biscotti were heavenly), and playing cards, especially cribbage. Ann also loved to read; her curiosity was boundless, and she would grab and read any book left unattended.

Ann is survived by her sister Esther Schmitt of Verona, Wisconsin; her children Lynne (Robert) Barte, Julie Daniels, Chuck (Suze) Manci, Mark (Jenny) Aliprandini, Nora (Frank) Balaam, Susan Aliprandini, and Michael Aliprandini; and her ten grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud; her parents; her brother, Francis Manci; and her infant daughter, Connie.

In celebration of a life well lived, services will be held June 28th, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, Arizona. A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., with funeral mass following at 10:00 a.m.
