In Loving Memory of Anson "Spoon" Sneezy Jr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anson "Spoon" Sneezy Jr., who left us

on February 21, 2025. Spoon, as he was affectionately known, was a Christian, a man of great

warmth, kindness, and an enduring passion for baseball that touched the hearts of many.

Born November 1978, at the San Carlos Old Hospital, He attended Copper Rim Elementary

School, Globe Jr. High, and graduated from Globe High School in 1997. During his high school

years, Spoon excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. His senior year was particularly

memorable, as he was part of the Globe High School Baseball Team that won the Arizona State

Championship Tournament.

After graduating high school, he worked for San Carlos Forestry and briefly attended Haskell

Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS. He later returned to San Carlos, where he worked

numerous jobs in the fields of landscaping and construction.

Anson is survived by his loving partner, Amelia Rose Steele, and their sons, Anson Sneezy III

and Sir’ Hendrix Sneezy. He is also survived by his parents, Anson Sneezy Sr. and Carol J.

Sneezy, as well as his brothers, Monolito A. Sneezy and Elliot D. Sneezy. He is preceded in

death by his brother, John McIver Sneezy, and his grandparents, Leo and Jane Natsyn, and

Fergus Sr. and Cecilia Sneezy.

Spoon was a devoted father who raised his kids in church and shared his passion for baseball

with his sons, Anson III and Sir’ Hendrix, teaching them the game and helping them excel in the

sport. His impact on the community was profound, and his legacy will be remembered through

the countless lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Spoon. May your spirit find eternal peace on the field of dreams.
