Beatrice Martinez Gonzales (Betty), passed away on July 1, 2026, in Miami, Arizona surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 21, 1944, in Ray, Arizona, Beatrice graced the world with her kindness, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones and faith.
Betty was a devoted Catholic who lived her faith every day. She never missed an opportunity to attend Mass, even while camping with her family, and she found peace and purpose in making Rosaries and praying for others.
Betty was a childcare provider and a homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, yard sailing and getting the family together to make Tamales
She is survived by her beloved children: daughter April Ochoa (TJ) of Miami, AZ, sons Leonardo Gonzales (Lorraine) of Avondale, Az and Juan Gonzales (Aurora) of Globe, Az, her beloved siblings Martin Martinez (Gloria) of Tucson, Az, Angel Martinez (Debbie) of Las Vegas, NV, Francis Deluna (Larry) of Tucson, Az, and Gloria Martinez of Tucson, Az. Betty was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren Ashley Benavidez (Derrick) of Miami, Az, Matthew Barajas (Bebe) of Miami, Az, Veronica Gonzales (Vincent) of Globe, Betty Gonzales (Joshua) of Globe, Az, Amber Gonzales, Dyonn Gonzales of Mesa, Az, Adrianna Marinez of Mesa, Az, Manuel Marinez of Globe, Az, and Dominick Gonzales stationed in Nogales. She also has 4 great-grandchildren: Giuliana Benavidez, Reyes Benavidez, Mariana Nastasi, and Alessia Nastasi, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
She is Preceded in death by the love of her life Leo Gonzales, her parents, Juan and Christina Martinez, brothers Gabriel, Robert, Phillip, William, and Johnny Martinez, sister-in-law Rosemary Martinez, father-in-law Juan Gonzales, mother-in-law Julie Gonzales, and her grandson Frankie Gonzales.
She will be remembered most for her unwavering love of family, her deep faith and the laughter she brought to everyone around her.
A viewing will be held on July 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 844 Sullivan Street, Miami, Arizona. Following the viewing, a rosary will begin at 10:30 AM and a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens, 3750 U.S. 60, Miami, Arizona.
Mom was very cared for and loved and will be deeply missed. We are comforted knowing you are with dad.
