Byron Jordon GreyBull Sr., a highly respected figure in the medical field, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Peridot, Arizona. He was born on May 6, 1954, in Poplar, Montana, and his legacy is marked by a lifelong commitment to both his profession and his community.
Byron achieved a master’s degree in his field and garnered acclaim as a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. His contributions to medicine were immeasurable, reflecting not only his dedication but also his continuous desire for knowledge and excellence. As a result of his unwavering commitment to his career and those he served, he left an indelible mark on many lives throughout his professional journey. His work took him through the various states like North Dakota, Minne, Browing, Montana, Washinton, Oregon, And Phoenix, Arizona.
Byron was also deeply connected to his cultural roots, proudly affiliated with the Fort Peck Sioux Tribes (Ogalala). This connection to his heritage defined much of his identity and was a source of great pride for him. He was the traditional pipe carrier and Eagle whistleblower.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Byron was a passionate individual known for his diverse interests. He found joy in playing guitar and drums, enjoying the rhythm of music as a significant part of his life. Hunting and working as a car mechanic reflected his hands-on approach to life, complemented by his love of socializing and making new friends. He cherished his free time, often spent listening to his favorite songs or discovering new melodies that resonated with his spirit and conversing with family on his cell phone (family up north)
Byron is survived by his loving spouse, Berdina Casey-GreyBull; his daughters, Anita L. McGarran, Binita GreyBull, Jennifer GreyBull of Florida, Stevie GreyBull of Ft. Yates, ND and Tara Young Bear; and his son, Byron J. GreyBull ; his in-laws: Ronald and Pearlina Smith from Phoenix, Velda Randall- Al Ensaif of Tucson, Arizona, Emogene Casey of San Carlos, Arizona; nephew Dimitri Nzuekou of Peridot, Arizona and Ferol Feather Earring of MT. He also leaves behind 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. He also leaves behind his 3 beloved dogs Jack, Ally, and Susie, who brightened his days.
He joins in eternal rest his parents, Tom and Edith Grey Bull; his son, Andrew J. Grey Bull: along with a stepsister and stepbrother, niece Janne Rae Featherearring each of whom holds a special place in his heart and memory.
Funeral services will be planned at Our Lord Catholic Church in Poplar, Montana Wednesday, March 4,2026. Burial to follow at Poplar, Montana at Riverside Cemetery.
