Carmen G. Acosta, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and devoted member of the Miami, Arizona community, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday April 15th, 2026. She was born on November 21st, 1949, in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, to Margarita García Escalante and Rubén García, and was the eldest of nine children.

She shared nearly 60 years of marriage with her husband, José V. Acosta. Together they raised three daughters: Carmen, Susana (Eleazar), and Marivel (Rafael), and built a life rooted in love, faith, and community in Miami, Arizona.

Carmen is survived by her husband, daughters, eight grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson José Raul, granddaughter Nevaeh, her sister Margarita “Lita”, her mother Margarita, her brother Rodrigo “Nene”, and her father Ruben.

Known as “Nana/Mom/Nina,” she was young at heart and found joy in her family, especially her great grandchildren. She loved traveling, celebrating traditions, and creating lasting memories.

Carmen was deeply devoted to her faith and community. She volunteered for many years, helped organize church celebrations, and touched countless lives through her generosity and kindness. She will be remembered for her warm spirit and the love she shared with all. She was a true blessing and will be deeply missed.

Carmen G. Acosta, amada esposa, madre, abuela, bisabuela y dedicada miembro de la comunidad de Miami, Arizona, falleció rodeada de su familia el miércoles 15 de abril de 2026. Nació el 21 de noviembre de 1949 en Agua Prieta, Sonora, México, hija de Margarita García Escalante y Rubén García, y fue la mayor de nueve hermanos.

Compartió casi 60 años de matrimonio con su esposo, José V. Acosta. Juntos criaron a tres hijas: Carmen, Susana (Eleazar) y Marivel (Rafael), y construyeron una vida basada en el amor, la fe y la comunidad en Miami, Arizona.

Carmen deja en vida a su esposo, sus hijas, ocho nietos y diecisiete bisnietos. Le precedieron en la muerte su nieto José Raúl, su nieta Nevaeh, su hermana Margarita “Lita”, su madre Margarita, su hermano Rodrigo “Nene” y su padre Rubén.

Conocida como “Nana/Mom/Nina”, tenía un espíritu joven y encontraba alegría en su familia, especialmente en sus bisnietos. Le encantaba viajar, celebrar tradiciones y crear recuerdos duraderos.

Carmen estuvo profundamente entregada a su fe y a su comunidad. Fue voluntaria durante muchos años, ayudó a organizar celebraciones en la iglesia y tocó innumerables vidas con su generosidad y bondad. Será recordada por su calidez y el amor que compartió con todos.Fue una verdadera bendición y será profundamente extrañada.
