Diane Sullivan Hernandez

Diane Hernandez passed away peacefully on 7/18/25 after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Benjimin Sullivan Jr. and Claudia Frost Sullivan, son in law Kent L. Pomeroy, very dear grandparents and great grandparents, numerous beloved Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her husband Richard B. Hernandez that loved her and adored her almost from the moment they met. Her children: Michael Mahan, Kellie Mahan Pomeroy, Clint Pettigrew (Jacquelyn), Aaron “Aari” Pettigrew Smith, stepchildren: Beth Hernandez Van Dixon (Stu), Michael Hernandez (Patti), Richard B. Hernandez Jr. (Jennifer).
Grandchildren: Brandon Shigley (Melissa), Brooke Shigley Montes (Steven), Scott (Mahan) Miller (Amber), Amber (Mahan) Miller Baxter (Nick), Corey (Mahan) Dillander, Taesha Pettigrew Bartkiv (Stas), Hayden Pettigrew (Marissa), Justin Pettigrew, Sarah Pettigrew, Brent Smith, Mason Smith, Sariah Smith and 14 great grandchildren.
Brothers: Thomas Sullivan (Joann) Barney Sullivan (Barbara) Randall Sullivan (Mae) Patrick Sullivan and dear nieces and nephews, beloved cousins Jani (Bob), Lila (Marty), Patti, Jed, Heather, Kathryn, Gloria and several other cousins not listed. Her very, very dear lifelong friends Mary Helen Mendoza and Janie Bosse. Sister-in-law: Connie Hernandez Medina. Diane loved Richard’s family and valued the relationships she had with his children their spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Diane enjoyed hunting, canning and baking bread. She was adamant in preparing for the apocalypse, the second coming or anything that required having extra food. She loved the beauty of a colorful sunset and the variety of the landscape that the Lord provided for us to enjoy. She loved animals, namely Honey, Max and Kadie. She was an amazing cook, and she loved doing genealogy. Diane was a talented and gifted artistic person. She did needlepoint, crocheting, stained glass, sculpting and ceramics. Diane was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very patriotic and loved to tell jokes like her great aunt Lettie and she was very funny in her own right.
