It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Connie J. Denton, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on January 9, 1954, in Houston, Texas, Connie was called home on March 13, 2026, surrounded by her son and daughter.
Connie was the cherished daughter of the late John and Doris Boone, who instilled in her the values of kindness, generosity, and faith—qualities that defined her throughout her life. Her heart of gold and unwavering faith made her a beacon of light in the lives of everyone she encountered. A true servant at heart, Connie dedicated her life to serving others, offering her time, love, and guidance to those in need.
On June 30, 1980, Connie married the love of her life, John Denton Sr., in a beautiful ceremony in Texas. Together, they shared 39 wonderful years of marriage, characterized by love, laughter, and mutual respect, until John's passing in 2019. Their union was blessed with two children, John Denton Jr. and Ashley Graham, who were the pride and joy of Connie's life. She was a loving mother, raising her children with the same love and devotion she shared with her beloved husband.
Connie's family continued to grow, and she cherished her role as a grandmother to her four beloved grandchildren: JP, Hannah, Eli, and Maddie. She reveled in their accomplishments, always cheering them on with pride and joy. Her legacy of love and kindness will undoubtedly live on through them.
Connie is survived by her children, John Denton Jr. and Meredith, and Ashley Graham and her husband Zach. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Donna, Mark (and his wife Donna), Sherri, and Danny, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
A private ceremony was held to honor Connie's life, reflecting the intimate and loving nature of her spirit. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Haven Health Sky Harbor and Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate and tender care during Connie's final days. Their support was a source of great comfort to Connie and her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Connie's memory, celebrating her legacy of service and compassion. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we remember Connie's life as a testament to love, faith, and the enduring power of a generous heart. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
