David Michael Uhl, born on June 4, 1963, in Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, in Globe, Arizona. 

David earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University, a foundation that propelled him into an extraordinary career. He was a celebrated Rocket scientist at Boeing. Later, David served as a research scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California. David participated in the Boy Scouts throughout his childhood and earned the designation of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Globe High School in 1981 and then spent 9 years in the Marine Corps Reserves.

Beyond his professional accomplishments. He was deeply fascinated by World War II history. His creativity found expression in the world of Dungeons and Dragons, where he enjoyed crafting imaginative scenarios and storytelling. Additionally, David was a homebrewer.

David is survived by a loving family. His wife, Xina Uhl, his daughter Brandy Bolinger (Matt), and a proud grandfather to Daniel, Michaela, Luke, Samuel, Elijah, Hannah, and Jesse, his mother Mary Ann Uhl, sister-in-law Nancy Uhl (Matt), nephews Jacob, Kyle, and Shane, and niece Savannah, along with uncles Tom Smith, David Smith (Carolyn) and cousin Clarke Smith (Lei), Chad Smith (Grace), Steven Smith.

He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Uhl, and siblings, Jeannie Uhl and Matthew Uhl, and cousin Courtney Smith.

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, there will be a Visitation at 9:00am, Rosary at 9:30am and Mass at 10:00am at the Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Luncheon will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Hall.
