David Michael Uhl, born on June 4, 1963, in Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, in Globe, Arizona.
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University, a foundation that propelled him into an extraordinary career. He was a celebrated Rocket scientist at Boeing. Later, David served as a research scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California.
Beyond his professional accomplishments. He was deeply fascinated by World War II history. His creativity found expression in the world of Dungeons and Dragons, where he enjoyed crafting imaginative scenarios and storytelling. Additionally, David was a homebrewer.
David is survived by a loving family. His wife, Xina Uhl, his daughter Brandy Bolinger (Matt), and a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, his mother Mary Ann Uhl, sister-in-law Nancy Uhl (Matt), nephews Jacob, Kyle, and Shane, and niece Savannah, along with uncles Tom Smith, David Smith (Carolyn) and cousin Clarke Smith (Lei) and children.
He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Uhl, and siblings, Jeannie Uhl and Matthew Uhl.
A Mass and Celebration of Life will take place at Holy Angels Catholic Church Saturday June 13,2026.
