Debbie Ruiz

Debbie Ruiz passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on June 16, 2020 from a long battle of cancer. She was born on June 25,1959 in Bisbee, AZ to Henry and Rose Fresquez. She was the middle child of five siblings. The family lived throughout the Southwest due to her father’s work, but settled in her hometown of Globe-Miami in 1964. Debbie grew up in Globe, AZ and attended Globe schools. She then attended Apollo College and graduated as a Medical Assistant in 1981. She worked in the health field for many years, but decided to fulfill her lifelong dream and became a Registered Nurse in 1999. Debbie was a very hard-working nurse that worked at Heritage Health Care Nursing Home for 17 years; and also moonlighted at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Outpatient Surgery and the AZ State Prison. Although, she was very a hard-working nurse, nothing was more important to Debbie then her family. She was the proud mother of two beautiful children, which includes her favorite son, Ryan, born in 1977 and her favorite daughter, Valerie, born in 1981. She adored spending time with all of her family and was always excited to have family gatherings. Food brought joy to Debbie’s life; whether she was cooking or enjoying a nice meal at a restaurant with family. Until her health made it impossible, she was a master cook in the kitchen and always made enough food so that everyone had seconds (or even thirds). Debbie was truly a blessing in so many lives and brought much laughter and joy to her loved ones. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her family. She also loved her music and the company of dogs and cats. She is preceded in death by her sister, Retta Masloff and her niece, Ashley Fritz. Debbie is survived by her parents, Henry and Rose Fresquez of Globe, Az. Her siblings, Gloria Sonico (Terry) of Martinez, Ca., Patricia Miller (Brian) of Flagstaff, Az., Manny Fresquez of Gilbert, Az. Her son Ryan Murry (Stacey) of Globe, Az. and her daughter Valerie Ruiz of Globe, Az. Her six grandchildren: Maritza Hurtado, Xaivior Classay, Sara Murry, Jailah Classay, Ryan Murry, Jr., and Ciena Encizo, As well as four great-grandchildren. In addition to the many family members that loved and adored her. Rosary will be on Tuesday, June 22, 2020 at 10:30 am at Holy Angels Church in Globe, Arizona Mass will follow at 11:00 am with burial in Globe Cemetery following the mass.
