Delores "Majorie" Jordan, born on January 14, 1942, in Bylas, Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, in Chandler, Arizona. Majorie, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, leaves a legacy filled with love and creativity that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
Majorie's early education began at Bylas Lutheran School, where her foundation for a life rich in faith was laid. She was proud to be confirmed and baptized in the Bylas Lutheran Church, a testament to her deep-rooted spiritual convictions that guided her throughout her life.
As she grew, her talents blossomed in various realms. A skilled seamstress, cradle board maker, and burden basket weaver, she brought warmth and beauty to those around her through her craft. Whether it was sewing camp dresses, aprons, or delightful dresses for young girls, her hands created garments that were not merely fabric but expressions of her love and care. Being a homemaker, Majorie crafted a nurturing environment filled with kindness and joy, enriching the lives of her family.
Majorie's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her devoted son, Randall Jordan, whose admiration for her ran deep. Her loving legacy continues with her grandchildren: Raelenia Patterson, Michael Jordan, Lacy Jordan, Dempsey Jordan, and her five cherished great-grandchildren, who were undoubtedly sources of great joy in her life.
While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever resonate in the lives she touched. Majorie was predeceased by her dear son, John Jordan, whose memory she carried in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ada Jordan, and her beloved sisters, Lupe Kozie, Audrey Johnson, and Bernice Harney. Though they are no longer with us, the bonds they forged and the memories they shared will live on in the collective heart of their family.
A viewing will be held in her honor on March 6, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Bylas, Arizona, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM and concluded services at Navajo Point in Bylas, AZ.
Delores "Majorie" Jordan will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her passionate craftsmanship, and the love she poured into every creation and every moment spent with her loved ones. Her legacy of love, faith, and creativity will continue to inspire generations to come.
