Delores “Dee” Thompson was born on September 15, 1959, in San Carlos, Arizona, and passed away on August 29, 2026, in Peridot, Arizona. She will be remembered with love for the steady presence she held in the lives of those who knew her and for the quiet strength she carried through the years.

Dee graduated from Globe High School and went on to dedicate more than 20 years of service to San Carlos Apache Housing before retiring. Her long career reflected commitment, perseverance, and a deep connection to her community.

She found meaning and comfort in reading the Bible, attending church outreach, spending time with her family, and picking acorn. These simple and lasting joys were part of the rhythm of her life and reflected the values she held close.

Dee leaves behind a family who will continue to carry her memory forward with love. She is survived by her son, Chris Thompson, and his wife, Antoinette, and by her grandsons, Elijah Thompson and Ethan Thompson. She is also survived by her companion, Ferris Irving. Dee is further survived by her siblings, Audrey Shaw, Manuel Shaw, and Doyle Davis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bruno Shaw, and her mother, Ruby Shaw. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Dalphine Skebadone and Charlene Perry, and by her brothers, David Bullis Shaw and Abraham Shaw.

Services to honor Dee’s life will be held on September 4, 2026, at Church of Calvary, State Highway 170/AZ-170/Indian Rte-6, San Carlos, Arizona 85550. Viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Northgate Cemetery, Tonto Street, San Carlos, Arizona 85550.
