Obituary

Dezirae Nichole "RaeRae" Harney, born on July 22, 2009, left this world far too soon on June 15, 2026. Her vibrant spirit and joyful heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

RaeRae lived a life filled with love, creativity, and connection. From a young age, she was passionate about spending time with her family and friends, cherishing moments with her nieces and nephews, and immersing herself in music—a special fondness for songs like "New Chains, Same Shackles" by $uicideboy$ She found happiness in baking, reading, and drawing, activities that revealed both her tender nature and her vibrant imagination. RaeRae's adventurous spirit shone through in her love for attending concerts, experimenting by cutting and dyeing her hair, and the joy she found in special trips to Disneyland.

Her dedication to personal growth and leadership was remarkable. Through her education starting from the elementary through her Junior year at San Carlos High School. She was currently doing an internship program at San Carlos Apache Healthcare hospital in Pharmacy. RaeRae earned numerous notable accomplishments that highlighted her character and determination: CTE certification Culinary Arts and digital communication, class representative-FCCLA, Honor Roll achievements, 1st place cartoon Drawing category San Carlos High School culture week

RaeRae was loved deeply by her family. She is survived by her devoted father, David Harney; her mother, Mary Harney; her two older sisters, Peaches and Megan Harney; her brother Patrick; and sister-in-law Kadija Harney nephew Ahren Harney and nieces Adelyn and Laiken Harney. Her loving grandparents, Alferino and Katherine Sisto, and godparents, Brenda Key & Felix Antonio, also carry her memory close in their hearts.

She also leaves behind a legacy fondly held in memory by those who passed before her: Grandma Isadora, Claude Kayson, Grandma Lucille and Grandpa Marvin Mull Sr., along with numerous uncles and aunties including Alder Kayson, Jack Kayson, Carol Hoffman, Ethel Surge, and Dorinda Kayson. Their memories live on intertwined with RaeRae’s story.

A wake will be held on June 18, 2026, at 4:00pm, at the Harney Residence located at 162 Rodeo Lane, Peridot, AZ, bringing together those whose lives she touched. Funeral service will be held at San Carlos High School at 9:00 a.m. on June 19, 2026, located at 860 US-70, Peridot, AZ. Burial will conclude services at Six-Mile Cemetery in Peridot, Arizona.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe passed a law in Dezirae's honor. It will be called " Dezirae's Law" and although her law will never bring her back, it will protect others just like her who have every right to live.
