Edward Solis Padilla died peacefully at home September 2, 2025, and is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ida Mae Padilla. Edward was a loyal, loving husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is proceeded by his parents, Aristeo and Preciliana Padilla and his siblings, Dan Padilla, Erma Gomez, Connie Rocha and Ralph Padilla. They have 3 children, Becky, Rick and John along with their spouses, Elaine, Donna and Sue. Five grandchildren, Kailey, Ashley, Madison, Sara and Nathan, along with two great grandchildren, Calvin and Syrus.
Eddie served in the Army for 4 years and fought bravely in the Korean War. In 1953, Edward and Ida moved to Ft. Knox, Kentucky for his last year of service and returned to Globe, AZ after his honorable discharge. Eddie and Ida also lived in Lakewood, CA where he studied and received his welding certificate. In 1967 they returned to Globe, AZ and Ed worked as a welder until his retirement in 1993. They enjoyed many years together, spending time at their cabin in Lakeside, AZ and dancing at The Knights of Columbus every chance they could. They enjoyed traveling and would often visit the casino.
Ed had a huge heart and would make friends wherever he went. He was passionate about his faith and loved his family, he never missed an occasion to be with them. As per his wishes, there will not be a public service. Burial of ashes and Celebration of Life will be private. Thank you for your support and understanding.
