Evelyn Ward

Evelyn Ward, a beloved member of the San Carlos community, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in her hometown of San Carlos, Arizona. Born on February 4, 1954, in San Carlos, she lived a life deeply rooted in the traditions and values of her community.

Evelyn attended the Stewart Indian School in Carson City, Nevada, where she embraced her education and formed lasting connections that shaped her character. Throughout her life, she was known for her warm and welcoming spirit, especially cherishing moments spent with friends and family, which brought her great joy and fulfillment.

One of Evelyn’s proudest accomplishments was being crowned Miss Shiwoye for the year 2016-2017. She carried her title with grace and dedication, representing her community honorably and with pride. Her commitment to this role demonstrated her passion for cultural celebration and community involvement, which resonated deeply with all who knew her.

Evelyn is survived by her devoted husband, Davison; her loving sons Emery, who is married to Miranda, BJ, Erik, and Iverson; and her cherished daughters Kristy and Nayomie. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and community spirit that will continue to inspire them.

There will be a wake for Evelyn on Thursday, March 19,2026 at 4:30 at Ward's Residence, Funeral Services will be the next day Friday, March 20,2026 at 11:00 am at the World Evangelism Revival Center, burial will conclude the services at Morman Hill Cemetery.

Evelyn Ward’s life was one of love, honor, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered with deep respect and affection by her family, friends, and community. Her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in San Carlos.
