Faye Morrison

February 21, 1945 — May 1, 2026

Miami, Arizona

Ethel " Faye" Morrison, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 1,2026 at the age 81.

She leaves behind a legacy of light-heartedness, fun, and love that will continue to live on in all who knew her.

She was born on February 21,1945 in Dumas, Arkansas. She spent her early years in Arkansas until her parents Bert and Elthel Vernor decided to make the move to California. They made a stop in Globe, Arizona to visit family and decided to stay!

Faye married John Morrison in 1967 and together they created a life built on exploration, adventure, and family.

To know Faye was to love her. She knew no stranger. Her energetic and rambunctious spirit set the scene for every wild story she had to share! She was the kind of person who knew everyone, and all who knew her truly loved her.

She found joy in the great outdoors. She worked as a docent alongside her husband John, at several National Parks, including Mesa Verde and Tonto National Monument.

Some of her greatest happiness came from family camping trips spent fishing, hiking, hunting, and hanging around a fire or relaxing on a boat.

She took great love and care for all types of animals including desert tortoises she rescued throughout her life. She could be found at the local grocery stores weekly, purchasing fruit and vegetables for all of her critters. She passed on her love for all things creepy and crawly to her great-granddaughter, Raleigh.

Faye also had a heart for helping others. She shared this passion through her work as a Crisis Counselor with Horizon's in Globe and with Arizona Children's. Through this role she touched the hearts and lives of so many in their times of need.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Hal (Chettie) Dodson, daughter, Jonica (Daniel) Flores, sister, Valrie (Joe) Bejarano, and her companion Kenneth Dalley.

She was especially proud of her role as " Bomma," a title she carried with joy and fierce love for her four grandchildren: Siarah, Johndaniel, Trevor, and Hannah and four great-grandchildren: Kayla, Kaden, Raleigh Lou, and Avi.

Faye also cherished her relationship with her three nephews and one niece and her extended family through blood, marriage, and friendship.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Morrison and her parents, Bert and Ethel.

The world feels a little quieter and not as exciting without her, but also much fuller for having had her in it. The family will be celebrating her life and legacy privately and are thankful for the outpouring of love and condolences.

Donations in honor and memory of Faye may be made to the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. http://wildspiritwolfsanctuary.org/
