GAVIN JOSEPH FRITZ

Gavin Joseph Fritz, born on July 12, 2002, in Globe, Arizona, passed away on December 26, 2025, in his hometown. He attended Miami High School and later he found a career through System One Maintenance/American Trade Service in Gilbert, AZ, where he developed skills that complemented his passion for working with his hands.

Gavin was known for his strong presence, bold personality, and genuine love for life. He had a natural way of connecting with people and could hold a conversation with anyone, making friends and family feel seen and valued. His loyalty and devotion to his family were unmistakable, as they were the foundation of his life. He took pride in his dog, Widow, and had a sharp sense of style, favoring the classic combination of black, white, and red. Gavin enjoyed good food without apology—junk food, lobster, and crab legs among his favorites. His big smile, confidence, and unmistakable look, marked by his hair and tattoos, were a true reflection of who he was.

An enthusiast of outdoor activities, Gavin cherished fishing, hunting, and camping, relishing moments spent in nature. He also found joy in gardening and cooking, often delighting family and friends with his BBQ skills. In his leisure time, Gavin could be found playing video games, sitting by the fire, or expressing his love for music through singing.

He is survived by his loving family, which includes his mother, Erika A. Sislo (Luis Curiel); father, Jason Fritz; brothers, Abel Curiel and Timothy Fritz; sister, Erika Fritz; nephew, Tristian Fritz; grandparents, Debbie and Dennis Stidham; grandfather, Greg Sislo (Arlyn Hunter-Jensen); aunt, Krystina Crawford; uncle, Michael and Madelyn Stidham; cousins, Coltin Kilpatrick and Leonidas Stidham; and his devoted girlfriend, Isabel Ontiveros, along with many other aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Betty L. Sislo; great-grandparents, Leslie and Virginia Seikkula; and great-aunt, MaryAnn Katzmark.

Gavin Joseph Fritz's spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. His contributions to the lives of others, paired with the memories created with family and friends, will eternally resonate in their hearts.
