Jennie C. Salas

It is with heartfelt respect and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Jennie C. Salas, née Serna, who was born on December 27, 1934, and departed this life on March 2, 2026, in Globe, Arizona. Jennie’s life was marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.

Jennie’s journey began in Globe, where she graduated from Globe High School, laying the foundation for a life rich in service and love. She dedicated many years as the office secretary at Holy Angels School, serving with commitment and kindness that touched the lives of countless students, parents, and staff. Her place within the community was further deepened through her active membership at Holy Angels Catholic Church, a spiritual home that nurtured her faith and fellowship.

Jennie was a woman of many talents and passions. She cherished the joy of singing, an expression of her spirit, and found great delight in spending time with her beloved family, who remained the center of her world. Her warm presence and cheerful voice left lasting memories with all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of Manuel M. Salas for 63 years, a partnership grounded in love and mutual respect. Jennie was preceded in death by her dear husband Manuel; her sister Angelina Ramirez; her brother Rudy Serna; and her parents, Cayetano and Dolores Serna.

Jennie is survived by her loving children: Ken (Becky) Salas, Bill Salas, Bob (Hope) Salas, and Dolores (Matthew) Vallejo. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Lauren Salas, Lucas Salas, Nicholas Vallejo, Nina Vallejo, Jake Salas, Carly Salas, Eliza Salas, and Danielle Miller.

A heartfelt Rosary will be held on April 20, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, located at 201 South Broad Street, Globe, Arizona 85501. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on the same day, honoring Jennie’s steadfast faith and devotion. A gathering to celebrate her life will take place thereafter, at 11:30 a.m. at Uptons, 247 S. Broad Street, Globe, Arizona 85501.

The family invites all who knew and loved Jennie to join in these services to honor and remember a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to loyalty, faith, and family. Jennie C. Salas will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the joy and warmth she brought into this world. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
