Our beloved mother passed away peacefully in her sleep, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering faith. She dedicated more than 40 years to nursing, including serving as the Director of Shelter Care Nursing Home, where her leadership and kindness shaped the lives of countless residents and staff. Her commitment to service extended beyond healthcare—she also worked as a wildland firefighter and as a haul‑truck driver in the mines, roles that reflected her courage, resilience, and strength
She lived with a vibrant spirit. In her younger years she was an avid runner, later finding peace and joy in hiking. She loved music and was an exceptional dancer, lighting up any room she entered. A gifted gardener, she nurtured every plant—and every person—placed in her care.
Born into a large, close-knit family, she remained deeply connected to her siblings: Samuel Ybarra, Lambert Francis (Myra), Corina Cutter (James), Dominic Ramos, Sr., Barbara May (Tony), and Robert Ramos, Sr. She was cherished by a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is survived by her children—Michelle, Joshua, and Joel—along with fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Loved by her community and guided by her faith in God, she leaves behind a life beautifully lived and a love that will endure.
