Obituary

Kurt Cassadore was born on March 9, 1978, to Sarah and Edwin Cassadore of Peridot, AZ. He attended Peridot Head Start and St. Charles Catholic School. After grade school, he attended San Carlos Rice School and Globe High School. Later, he transferred to Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California, to continue his education. In 1996, he signed up with forestry as a SWFF Crew member and traveled all over the place, like Mississippi, and in Louisiana and Alabama he helped during the Hurricane Katrina disaster. He also went to Texas, where he helped with the Space Shuttle accident. After SWFF, he worked with Geronimo Hotshot for two years. He held various jobs like construction, the Highway Roads Department, and Pinto Valley, Freeport plus Morenci Mines. With all the jobs he held, he enjoyed working mostly at the mines, where he gained a lot of experience.

Kurt's hobbies were landscaping yards, where he found happiness enjoying working with woodwork, and was talented at building everything with his hands. He also enjoyed being outdoors, being with family, cookouts, and birthday parties or any family gatherings. He loved eating and never ever gets filled, would get more plates after plates for later, which he is known for at family gatherings. He loved music and being with his friends, and one time he even attended Bull riding classes in San Tan Valley trying to be a professional Bull Rider, but once he entered the Bull Bash event during the Veterans Memorial festivities, he broke his leg and never tried Bull riding again.

Above all, Kurt loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle whose loving, crazy spirit touched everyone, and his humorous personality made him someone fortunate to have known as a friend.

Kurt is survived by his wife of 29 years, Stephanie Antonio Cassadore; his son Uriah Antonio and daughter Kylie Faith Cassadore; his mother, Sarah Cassadore; and his brothers, Kevin Cassadore, Hershel Elthie, and sister Natisha Elthie. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sheena Elthie.

Kurt's memory will live on through his family, the many lives he touched, and the countless moments of happiness he shared. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is at peace and that his loving, crazy spirit will continue to guide them. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
