Loyce Elnora Hunt, a cherished mother, grandmother, and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, in Globe, Arizona. Born on February 7, 1932, in Cleveland, Texas, Loyce’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with kindness, dedication, and creative spirit.
Loyce worked as an Administrative Secretary and retired from Pinto Valley Mine in 1994. She also spent her time working at Election polls for several years. Loyce’s was a faithful member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Throughout her life, Loyce nurtured her many talents and interests with great passion. Her hands brought comfort and joy through crocheting, needlepoint sewing, quilting, ceramic painting, gardening, and cooking. Each creation was a testament to her care and artistry, touching the lives of those fortunate enough to receive them.
Loyce is lovingly remembered by her daughter Melva Enders (Alan), her son Tommy Hunt (Cytha), sisters Carol Fletcher (Ken) and Sandi Hunter, her granddaughter Kristi Enders, Crystal Hellman; grandsons Joseph Enders (Jennifer) and Brandon Hunt (Julie); great-granddaughters Bentley Boren (Taige), Kelly Enders, and Rylie Feltman (Mitchell); great-grandsons Brent Howard, Anthony Howard, Zane Hellman, Porter Hunt, and Landon Hunt; as well as a great-great-grandson, Mathew Howard. Each of these beloved family members carries forward Loyce’s legacy of love, warmth, and faith.
She is preceded in death by her devoted spouse, Melvin Hunt, her parents Sibyl and Fred Stringer, and Joyce Mitchell, Earl Stringer, Alton Stringer, and Freddy Stringer.
A Funeral Service to honor Loyce's remarkable life will be held on June 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Claypool, Arizona, located at 4247 Broadway. Burial will conclude service at the Globe Cemetery and a Luncheon to follow after interment at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Claypool, Arizona.
Loyce Elnora Hunt’s gentle nature, steadfast faith, and artistic touch have left an indelible mark on her family and community. Though she has departed this world, her warmth, wisdom, and light remain alive in every life she touched. She will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
