Mary passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, in Globe, Arizona, after a long and courageous battle with vascular dementia. She is now at peace and reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Jack Holliday. Born on March 27, 1954, in Globe, Arizona, to Pete and Irene Coppa, Mary was the youngest in the family and was deeply loved and cherished by all.

Mary attended Globe schools and earned her GED. She spent many years working with the public at Circle K, Connie’s Liquor, and Safeway. She was proud to complete her licensing and bonding for Dan Hockersmith-State Farm, where she worked for more than 20 years before retiring from Cami Lucero-State Farm in 2016. Mary was devoted, hardworking, and deeply committed to doing her best.

Through her years of working with the public, Mary made many friends, and members of the community often checked in on her.

Mary was a dedicated member of Miami Church of Christ where she attended with her sister Virginia Baer.

She is remembered for dedication to many local nonprofits, she was a member of the local rotary, organized many teams for the local “Relay for Life” cancer research & awareness in memory of her brother Louis Coppa.

Mary enjoyed gardening, reading, walking and baking; her Texas sheet cakes were epic and well known in the community as she often gifted & donated for charity fundraising.

Mary and her late husband, Jack, enjoyed traveling, camping at Roosevelt Lake and in the White Mountains, spending time with family and friends. She was always the life of the party, bringing joy and happiness to everyone around her. Family gatherings and holiday celebrations were especially meaningful to her, and she considered her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren among life’s greatest blessings.

I’M FREE

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.

I’m following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call.

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day.

To laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way.

I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void.

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a hug, a kiss,

Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.

Be not burdened with the times of sorrow.

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I savored much.

Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.

Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me.

God wanted me now, he set me free.
