Michael Patton, Jr., age 39, entered his Heavenly Home on June 9, 2023, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center in Casa Grande Arizona. He was born on November 15, 1983, to his parents, Michael Patten, Sr., and Carol Pechuli Lewis in San Carlos, Arizona. His siblings are Blessing Endfield of Cibecue, Arizona, Carolyn, Patten, and Michelle Patton, both of San Carlos, Arizona, Floranna McIntosh-Whitmyer (Larry), of Queen Creek, Arizona, and Deshae Patten of Morenci, Arizona. He was proud of his six nieces Maria Paxon, Bernice Paxon, Khia Thompson, Mikyla Thompson, Maleya Thompson, and Neveah Whitmyer. Five nephews; Marqese Pacheco, Chance Thompson, Mikael Dillon, Micah Dillon, and Larry Whitmyer IV.
Michael spent his childhood life in the 7-mile district, river side area, with his maternal grandparents, the late Larry Patten, and the late Dorothy Hinton-Patten. Another paternal grandparent that he was proud of his grandmother Marion Pechuli, and the late Ambrose Pechuli Sr.
He attended Globe high school and transferred to San Carlos high school for his final senior year where he was valedictorian of the class of 2002. He attended Mesa community college with scholarships for one year, studying to be a flight nurse, until he decided to seek employment at Gila River Casino, where he worked for numerous years. He also dedicated his time to work at Harkins Theater Later in Scottsdale, Arizona. Michael returned to San Carlos to be near his family and worked at Apache Gold Casino and Resort, San Carlos, Arizona.
Michael enjoyed his time spent with his close cousins, especially with his Aunt Rose Mary Pechuli, and he often visited with his grandmother Marion Pechuli. His friend’s said that Michael had a “curious hilariousness” about him, reflecting his keen wit and boisterous silliness. Michael will be remembered as a kindred spirit and passionate soul. His heart of humor and bright, illuminating smile, that he continuously shared with family and friends, as he truly loved every one of them. He will be dearly missed. Until we meet again.
Survivors include his father, Michael Patten, Sr., his mother, Carol Pechuli Lewis (Mitchell), his four sisters, and one brother. Grandmother Marion Pechuli, numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leroy and Dorothy Patten and Ambrose Pechuli, Sr. Four uncles, Leon Patten, Sr., Anthony Pechuli, Ambrose Pechuli, Jr., and Andrew Pechuli.
Wake was held on Friday, June 16th, 2023, at the Pechuli Residence at 4:00 P.M.
Funeral Services was held on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at the PFC Michael Angelo Noline Activity Center in Peridot, Arizona at 1:00P.M.
Interment was followed at San Carlos Cemetery in San Carlos, Arizona.
