MICHAEL LEROY PENROD, born on February 3, 1947, in Florence, Arizona, passed away on November 3, 2025, in Globe, Arizona. He lived a life marked by dedication, service, and familial love.
Michael dedicated over fifty years to his career as a pipe fitter welder, leaving a notable mark during his fifteen years at the Magma Pinto Valley Mine. His extensive experience in the field made him a respected figure among colleagues and peers alike.
In addition to his professional achievements, Michael bravely served in the United States Navy as part of the brown water Navy during the Vietnam War, committing four years to this honorable duty and contributing to the safety of his country.
He was an individual of varied interests and hobbies; Michael loved camping, fishing, and hunting. However, his greatest passion was his family, which he cherished deeply.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Leeta, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Scoot Penrod, Michelle Penrod, and Zackery Penrod, as well as his grandchildren: Brianna Barraza, Andreanna Penrod, Julianna Denton, Allen Denton, Andrew Penrod, Christina Dazen, Matthew Penrod, Dalton Penrod, Manny Penrod, Ezequiel Penrod, and Zaelianna Denton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Imalee and Martin Penrod. Michael Leroy Penrod will be remembered not just for his professional skills and military service, but for the warmth he brought to his family and the joys of a life well-lived.
