Obituary

Rosie Baroldy, a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and beloved member of the Globe, Arizona community, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and love that will endure for generations.

Born in Globe to Sam Guerena and Sue Mendiola, Rosie grew up surrounded by the traditions, values, and close-knit bonds of her Mexican American heritage. A proud graduate of Globe High School, she shined as a twirler and drum majorette, carrying school spirit with grace, pride, and unmistakable joy.

Rosie brought that same energy into her professional life. She worked for many years at Mountain Bell Telephone Company, where she was admired for her reliability, warmth, and dedication. Later, she embraced her entrepreneurial spirit by founding Rosie's Secretarial Services in downtown Globe, becoming a trusted resource for local businesses and a familiar, friendly presence in the community.

A devout Catholic, Rosie lived her faith through action. She volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, offering compassion, time, and support to neighbors in need. Her spiritual life was deeply rooted in the traditions of her culture-faith, family, service, and celebration. She cherished the rituals, music, and community gatherings that define Mexican American Catholic life, and she carried those traditions forward with pride.

Family was the heart of Rosie's world. She was the loving mother of Frank, Christopher, Mark, and Brian. Rosie is survived by her sister, Jo Ann Aguirre, and brother, Dan Guerena, who will forever treasure their bond. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, sister Armida Bittner, and her brother Michael Mendiola, whose memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Rosie was also a cherished aunt, a proud grandmother, and a beloved cousin, roles in which she offered guidance, humor, and unconditional love. Her extended family remembers her steady presence-someone who showed up, supported wholeheartedly, and celebrated every milestone with warmth and joy.

Rosie's life was defined by devotion-to her faith, her family, her heritage, and her hometown. She touched countless lives with her sincerity, gentle guidance, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. Her passing leaves a profound void, but her spirit remains deeply woven into the fabric of Globe and into the hearts of all who knew her.

A Mariachi Catholic Mass celebrating Rosie's life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Globe. Family and friends are invited to gather in prayer, remembrance, and gratitude for her beautiful life, honoring her with the music, faith, and traditions she loved. Viewing at 9:00 AM, Rosary at 9:30 AM, Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment at Globe Cemetery following the Mass. A lunch reception will follow at Holy Angels Parish Hall.

May her memory be a blessing, and may she rest in eternal peace.
