STEPHANIE GARCIA

d. August 2, 2025

GLOBE, ARIZONA

Stephanie “Doe” Garcia January 25, 1968 – August 2, 2025

Stephanie Garcia, lovingly known as “Doe” to her family and friends, was born and raised in Globe, Arizona, and passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 57. A devoted daughter, mother, auntie, nani, sister, cousin, and friend, Stephanie’s kindness and deep capacity for love touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her father, Manuel Garcia, and her stepmother, Yolanda Garcia. Stephanie leaves behind her two children, Xavier Garcia and Savannah Garcia; her beloved granddaughter, Corina Neeley-Garcia, daughter of Xavier; her three sisters, Monica Garcia, Jessica Garcia, and Erica Garcia; and two very loved bonus siblings, Annette Marquez-CIsneros and David Marquez, children of Yolanda Garcia. Stephanie was also a second mother to many nieces and nephews whom she helped raise with care and compassion.

Stephanie was embraced by so many aunts and uncles who loved her so much and left behind many others — especially her Aunt Carol, who was like a second mother to her — and a large extended family of cousins, with whom she shared incredibly close and meaningful relationships. She didn’t just grow up alongside them — she grew with them, creating a bond that lasted a lifetime and brought her so much joy.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lucille Silva.

Above all, Stephanie was love in human form. She gave it freely, endlessly, and without hesitation — whether you were family, friend, or stranger. She made everyone feel seen, accepted, and cared for. She loved deeply, loudly, and without limits — and the world felt warmer in her presence.

Stephanie spent her life caring for others. Her career as a caregiver spanned hospitals, day centers, and group homes for adults. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her work — she adored babies and never passed up the chance to hold one, even asking strangers if she could. She lived to love others and to make them feel loved, even if they didn’t always deserve it. That was just who she was.

A passionate cook, Stephanie loved sharing her kitchen skills with anyone willing to learn. Teaching others how to cook brought her joy, and she believed food was another way to show love and care. Her warmth and patience made her the heart of every meal and gathering.

She had a joyful appreciation for beauty in all forms — from the clouds and mountain views to wild sunflowers growing along the roadside. One of her favorite things to do was take pictures of everything. She especially loved taking selfies — either solo or with anyone who would jump into the frame. Her photos were full of the joy, love, and light she carried everywhere she went.

And then there was her smile — big, beautiful, and unforgettable. Stephanie proudly rocked the gap between her front teeth, calling it her “London look,” and she never left the house without a swipe of her signature pink or red lipstick. Her confidence, humor, and sparkle were as unmistakable as her heart.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Stephanie leaned on her spirituality through life’s many challenges. Her answer to almost everything was simple, sincere, and filled with peace: "Just pray."

Stephanie’s legacy is one of love — overflowing, unconditional, and everlasting. She lives on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to be loved by her.
