Timothy Wayne Wheeler was welcomed by Our Saviour Jesus Christ, to his eternal home on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026 in Globe Arizona. Tim was born at Fort Sam Houston 75 years ago, to Lt Col (USAF) Claude Irvin Wheeler and Dorothy Fern Schmidt-Wheeler (A dialysis nurse). 

Tim spent his childhood years growing up in Billings, Montana, Yuma Arizona, and Graduated from Tucson High School. While growing up he was very Active in the Boy Scout's of America attending National Jamborees, Numerous Scout camps, had the Pleasure of shaking hands with both President John F Kennedy and Richard Nixon, and attaining the Rank of Eagle Scout. When not involved with Scouting, he was active Methodist Church Youth groups, and his Junior Year of Highschool became involved with Amigos De Las Americas, which provided vaccines to the people of Central and South America. While initially starting as a volunteer for Amigos, he quickly progressed to becoming a Staff member and eventually Country director for Paraguay and Nicaragua while attending college at the University of Arizona, majoring in Latin American Studies.

 It was in Amigos where he met the love of his life, Martha Anne Rogers, of Young, Arizona. They were married on August 30th1975, in Tucson Arizona, and Tim left Amigos to pursue a job in the ranching industry. They moved to a small cattle farm on the Salt River North of Globe, Arizona in 1977. While running the cattle farm, he and Martha Raised 2 Children, Ruth Elizabeth and Micah Josiah Thomas.

 In 1988 Tim embarked on his dream of building his own adobe home on the Farm. He spent 3 years building his dream home, managing every detail, and laying each block and moving into his finely crafted home in 1991. With the addition to the Roosevelt Dam in the early 90s, the farm was sold and he shifted focus from the cattle farm to construction where he worked on many of the campgrounds around Roosevelt Lake and Payson Arizona. 

In the mid 1990s he obtained his General Contractor's License and began Maratimo Enterprises. The farm was turned into a riparian area overseen by Salt River Project, and he entered into a contract to manage the irrigation and growth of the riparian area under his contractor's license. He also worked on many construction jobs in both Globe, and Rural Central Gila County. His devotion to the Lord continued throughout his adult life, serving as an Elder For the First Presbyterian Church for over 40 years, as well as his work with Habitat for Humanity in Globe Arizona, where he served as a board member and Construction Superintendent. He continued to manage the riparian area in his retirement and was always proud that he had irrigated and managed the same piece of ground for 50 years, ending only in May when he fully retired and did not renew his contractor's license.

 He is preceded in Death by his Father Lt. Col (USAF) Claude Irvin Wheeler and Mother, Dorothy Fern Schmidt-Wheeler, his brother Col. (USAF) Michael Irvin Wheeler, his parents in law Jefferson Zabra (Jack) Rogers and Joan Blaney Rogers and his beloved Son in Law, Dusty Wold. 

He is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years, Martha Anne Rogers Wheeler, His Daughter Ruth Elizabeth Wold, his Son, Micah Josiah Thomas Wheeler, and his 4 grandsons, Rafe Jefferson Wold, Cal Wilfred Wold, Cord Wayne Wold, Grant Dustin Wold.

Services will be held August 15th at 10:30AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Hill Street in Globe, Arizona. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at DJ's Companies, 2301 N. Hwy 188, Globe, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Samaritan's Purse ( ) Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org) or any of your favorite local charities.
