Vicente Llanez Perez

January 22, 1934 — March 9, 2026

Miami, Arizona

Vicente Llanez Perez, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home on March 9th, 2026 with his son Joe by his side, at the age of 92.

He was born in Alpine, Texas on January, 22nd, 1934 to Pablo and Josefina Perez and grew up surrounded by the love and lively company of his ten brothers and sisters. Together they shared a childhood rooted in family, hard work, and the strong values that would shape the rest of his life.

From a young age he learned the value of hard work, traveling with his family to work in the fields. The family later moved to Arizona, where he would meet the love of his life, Angie.

Together they built not only a life, but a home that welcomed everyone. Angie was truly his soulmate. From their love they raised three boys and built a family that grew to include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also played a special role in raising his granddaughter, Angelic Perez, whom he loved deeply and cared for as one of his own.

He worked at the Inspiration Mines when he was 18, where his strong work ethic and dedication reflected the hardworking life he had known from the beginning.

Those who knew him will always remember his unforgettable personality and sense of humor. He had a way of making everyone laugh and was always ready with a joke, a story, or a playful comment. Life was never dull when he was in the room.

He enjoyed the simple joys in life — making necklaces, treasure hunting at thrift stores, and making his rounds at Fry’s and Walmart where he could visit with friends. No matter where he went, he made sure he looked his best. A fresh haircut and his jewelry were always a must.

One of the places he loved most was the Miami Senior Center. It became like a second family to him. He enjoyed bingo, singing, dancing, and keeping everyone on their toes with his humor and personality.

He also had a loyal companion, his Chihuahua Gizmo — the dog he never knew he needed but quickly became his little sidekick. They started and ended their days together.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his beloved wife Angie; his son Michael; 4 brothers and 3 sisters along with other cherished family members.

He lived a life full of laughter, resilience, faith, and love for his family and community. His hard-working hands built a home and a legacy that will continue to live on through the generations that follow.
