Yolanda "Yoli" Mendoza Martinez, a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Miami, Arizona. Born on December 6, 1960, in Globe, Arizona, Yoli’s life journey was one built on hard work, love, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.
A proud graduate of Miami High School, Yolie devoted much of her life to working at the Copper Mines, followed by a career as a custodian at various locations, where her commitment and reliable nature were valued by many. Yet, beyond her professional contributions, it was her loving spirit that truly defined her legacy.
Yoli found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in the company of her friends and beloved grandchildren. Sleepovers filled with laughter and stories, shared meals of Raising Cane’s chicken, and an infectious enthusiasm for all things Harley Davidson brought her great happiness. These moments reflected her generous heart and the special affection she held for those closest to her.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Jesse Martinez and daughter-in-law Jessica Saldivar, whose children—Jocelyn, Damian, and Sydney—were the light of her life. Their time together radiated with warmth and joy, creating memories that will endure through the generations. Yolie was also the dearly loved sister of Elizabeth, Richard, and Fred, who remain her steadfast supporters.
Though she is now reunited with her parents, Jose and Rebecca Martinez, and her brother Joe, who predeceased her, Yoli leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that continues to inspire. Her passing is deeply mourned by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Yolanda "Yoli" Mendoza Martinez will be profoundly missed but forever remembered—with each story shared, every fond memory recalled, and through the lasting love of her family that she so cherished.
