Scott was born and raised in California, but spent most of his life embracing new experiences, having moved over thirty times up to this point in his life (much to the dismay of his poor wife!).
He enjoyed two other careers before entering the funeral care industry. His love of woodworking in his high school days led him to a career in cabinetmaking and fine woodworking. Cabinetmaking meant a lot of time spent in homes under construction, and he found a passion for high-end custom-built homes. His second career was as a design-build general contractor, where he worked hand in hand with his clients for up to three years as he helped them design their dream homes and see them become reality. When the housing market crashed in 2008 he left his company, went back to school and became a fully licensed Funeral Director.
Scott's genuine love for others, along with his patience and gentle nature, has not only helped him become a wonderful funeral director, but has made it the most rewarding work he's ever done. The only thing that brings him more joy is his role as a devoted husband to his beloved wife Amy, with whom he shares over thirty wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised five remarkable sons, instilling in them the values of love, perseverance, and kindness. Scott finds great joy in his family; his 5 sons have brought him four loving daughters-in-law, who in turn have brought even more joy through his five grandchildren who are the light of his existence, bringing him immense pride and happiness.
